Advertised Locally and Abroad via Local, Regional, and National Networks
Composer-member* presents composition and provides performers
Performer-member* performs compositions by living composer
Member required to attend (failure to attend will result in non-programming or name removed from the final program)
Programs licensed and submitted to BMI/ASCAP
We will accept electronic compositions (however, recordings of music for live performance and midi renditions (ie notation software playback) are not suited for this call). Most pre-recorded performances (ie live performances) can be submitted to the call for recordings (Option 3).
* members of NACUSA (national org) and Sounds New (affiliate org)
OPTION 2: Call for Acousmatic
Mobile Installations
Public Recitals - Open to the Public
Advertised via Local Networks
Composer-member submits a composition for electronic playback
Composer-member could participate by providing performer (electro-acoustic presentation)
If space is available, we reserve the opportunity to program electronic compositions on composer recitals
Programs licensed and submitted to BMI/ASCAP
recordings of music for live performance are not suited for this call and should be submitted for Option 3: Call for Recordings
Any member can host (with pre-approval) a Sounds New recital (Option 1 or 2)
OPTION 3: Call for Recordings
RADIO
Recordings of live performances or commercial releases accepted
Each member may submit one composition per year
Internet Broadcast (fully licensed - set lists submitted to PROs)
Occasional broadcast of recitals (Composer Recital or Mobile Installation)
Members may submit - interviews or other talk shows for programming
