SOUNDS NEW TRAVEL GRANT

We are pleased to announce the availability of mini travel grants!

These small grants provide a travel stipend to present at a Sounds New event. Any active NACUSA and the Sounds New Chapter member is eligible to participate in this opportunity. If you have been accepted to present at a Sounds New event: send a 100-word or less proposal (use the form below). Your proposal can be for the member who is presenting or for any additional performers assisting in your presentation. The proposal should address how the music will benefit the Sounds New chapter and financial needs.

Notes:

• One grant per event (awarded to the presenter - the presenter is responsible for sharing funds with additional performers).

• Sounds New will award based on the quality of the proposal and the demonstration of need (especially for travel over great distances).

• Priority will go to new memberships.

• We expect and enjoy participation; grants are not a contingency of presentation. Grants will be provided at or after the event - please do not request that your participation be based on whether you will receive the grant.

• Based on funds, multiple grants may be awarded; no grants might be awarded based on the quality of submissions.
